The Beatles were propelled towards success on their first US tour in 1964 and by the late 1960's had taken over the US charts in what was termed ' BeatleMania '. The band were so successful that John Lennon in an interview March 1988, claimed The Beatles were more popular than Jesus .  POWER IN WORDS There is power in the words we speak. Notice how a word thought, spoken or written can evoke emotional responses. Utterances of a word will have greater power by the emphasis placed on it – and when it's directed at a person or used as a descriptive term, the power of a word can change. Letters are shapes created to form sounds and some letters have different sounds depending on the placement of the letter. Before we had letters to embody the meaning of sounds, symbols were used.
